You have to build your barn and coop from scratch. Island of Happiness has a buttload of faceless, named sub-villagers you unlock via completing various tasks (such as shipping x amount of y type of crop, or catching x amount of y type of fish), and several regular villagers also get unlocked this way. Mostly in the form of finding/shipping everything there is, befriending everyone. And, well, there's a lot to do and unlock, if that tickles your panini.

hmm, it's a matter of perspective, I'd say. So, I'm mainly playing to befriend everyone, get all the dialogue. meh, so was Mineral Town, and I love Mineral Town), and Denny and Felicia are characters in these games, so that helps since I adore Denny and Felicia. They're amusing, I like their designs (aside from being SD, but. I personally don't find them too fun to play, BUT I do enjoy the characters a fair bit. To be honest, if you like your Harvest Moon on Hard Mode, I think you'll like these games. I'm playing them right now, but via emulator - because I feel they work best that way due to the game mechanics.
